DANIA BEACH, Fla. – Keith Kidwell, CCIM, SIOR, president of SVN Commercial Realty in Fort Lauderdale, coordinated the lease on a 16,800-square-foot facility that will become a new location for Nextran Truck Centers. The 7.6-acre site is at 4300 Ravenswood Road with 500 feet of frontage on Interstate 95. Nextran, an industry-leading commercial truck dealer group, plans to provide sales, rental, lease, parts and service support of their full range of highway and vocational vehicles from the location.

“Properties like these are becoming more difficult to find in South Florida,” said Kidwell, who has closed on more than 900 transactions in his career. “There’s just not a surplus for these types of property assets right now, which makes them prized opportunities.”

Property owner Bryan Grosman of Brycor Holdings had worked diligently with the city to obtain approval of an ordinance amending the city’s Land Use Development Code, which made it possible for Nextran to operate at the site. Approved by the Dania Beach City Commission, the ordinance eliminated three conditions to the permitted use of outdoor sales of vehicles, which physically could not be met at the site.

“The entire city commission has been extremely supportive in this effort,” Grosman said. “Each commissioner fully embraced the important economic benefits that Nextran will bring to the city.”

Nextran also put in its fair share of work to find the ideal location and, in the end, that diligence paid off.
