How long have you worked at Nextran?
13 years with Nextran. 43 years in the trucking business.
Why Nextran?
In 2003, Nextran created a new position (Fleet Support Mgr). After a “worldwide” search they found me. It’s been the best job I’ve ever had and it will be very difficult to leave Nextran when I finally decide to end my career. (The “Worldwide Search ” phrase is my trademark inside Nextran.)
What aspect of your job do you find the most rewarding and why?
Customer Service – Helping customers obtain their goals. Our team strives to over-deliver: “yes” and “can” rather than “no” and “can’t.”
What advice would you give to a new Nextran employee?
You’re working for and with the best. Absorb all you can.
Where do you live and what do you love most about your city?
Sarasota, Florida. We have it all here, beaches, boating, great restaurants, and culture.
Where is your favorite place to travel?
Aruba
If you could open a Nextran dealership anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Chris Naylor and I joke about opening a branch in Aruba.
What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas
Are you a pet person?
No
What is your favorite sports team?
Buffalo Bills. My wife (Diane) and I are season ticket holders and have been through four Super Bowl losses. Someday there will be a “W” in the win column.
What is your favorite season?
Anytime it is warm! We are from Buffalo, NY.
When you were young, what did you want to be and how does your career path match or contrast those aspirations?
Something in the automobile industry, and that rolled into the trucking industry.

Whatever it takes. Passionate about Nextran’s and our customer’s success! It’s all about customer satisfaction and the “Big Red X.”
