Quality Control Technician - Denver, CO

Nextran Truck Center Denver (formerly Volvo of Denver) has an immediate opening for a Quality Control Technician. Nextran can help you take your career to the next level!

Nextran Truck Centers, a full-service commercial truck dealership, is a growing network from the Southeastern United States and we have been in business for over 25 years! Nextran Truck Centers in Denver sells and services Volvo Trucks. We have recently expanded our network to the Midwest and currently have over 25 locations in the United States, we are committed to developing and growing new talent!

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the inspection of vehicles after all repairs have been completed. The Quality Control Technician at Nextran Denver can earn between $23 – $27 per hour depending on proven experience and certifications.

Responsibilities of the Quality Control Technician:

  • Review work order and notes from MVASIST to confirm which repairs were performed on the vehicle.
  • Inspect repairs performed to make sure OEM guidelines have been followed.
  • Make sure there are no active fault codes related to the repairs performed, if other active
    codes are present Technician needs to go through MVASIST case to make sure the shop Foreman was informed and customer is aware of the situation.
  • Complete quality control checklist before and after road testing truck to ensure proper guidelines have been followed.
  • Technician must go through Asist case and make sure there is CBR case open, Eaton, Wabco, Cummins, Tech support cases, all cores returned. If repairs are covered under warranty, Technician needs to make sure parts are tagged, need to make sure location codes are in MVASIST if Electrical/Air repairs were done.
  • If issues are found during quality control the Technician will inform the Shop Foreman. Shop Foreman must address the issues with the technician as soon as possible to make sure customer is updated in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Quality Control Technician Qualifications:

  • Mack and Volvo Master Certified preferred
  • Valid CDL Driver’s License required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Cummins Engine Repair Certification a plus
  • 5 years of experience working as a technician
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
