Job Title: Parts Manager

Department: Parts

Reports To: Operations Manager

SUMMARY 

The Parts Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating all Parts Department activities of Nextran Truck Centers, Kennesaw.  The manager will lead the department in the attainment of established goals for market share, revenues, gross profits, and departmental profit as provided in Nextran’s marketing and business plans.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

      ∙ Develop and execute marketing strategies.

      ∙ Manage inventory.

      ∙ Prepare an annual marketing plan and budget for the parts department.

      ∙ Develop and maintain relationships with significant accounts.

• Monitor actual performance to plan, ascertain reasons for any variances and make necessary changes.
• Manage the selection, hiring, and training of qualified personnel.  
• Evaluate employee performance and goals.
• Safeguard all company assets.
• Provide a positive and safe work place experience for all employees.
• Uphold Nextran’s policies, culture and pledge in all aspects of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS

The qualifications listed below are representative of preferred knowledge, skills, and/or abilities.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  The ideal candidate will have:

• Five years heavy-duty truck parts counter sales experience (Preferred, but not required)
• Outside retail sales experience (a plus).
• Three years of managerial experience (a plus).
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic financial analysis skills.
